Nightly routine
One thing that the military, and Robert has taught me, is that routines get results. I’ve always been really good about having a solid morning routine to get my day started. But I never really thought about a good nightly routine.
I guess I did have a routine, but it was shitty. I would usually scroll on my phone binge watch some Netflix. Now I’m being a little more aware about minimizing some of that screen time. And making sure I’m carving out at least 30 minutes to down regulate, do some breath work or meditation.
It’s certainly helping with falling asleep and feeling better in the morning.
I’m excited to be a part of this group and this app to continue to try out different routines and techniques to help with this most important aspect of my overall health and wellness. Sleep.
Ok I am here and am starting a fixed bed time tonight. I have a PET scan tomorrow so this may be put off one night upon thinking about it. But I like the idea. Now question. When I wake up in the night and cannot go back to sleep should I get up like the doc says Kir just lye there like I have been doing?
