Sleep schedules

I found the biggest challenge for me was to create a sleep schedule, being retired I normally went to bed whenever I was tired and woke up whenever I did..with no alarm. But, I found I was still exhausted the next day, with no energy. I thought I was getting at least 8-9 hours of sleep based on when I went to bed and when I got up, but, just because I was in bed all that time doesn't mean I was sleeping...is what I found out during this study. Most nights I was only getting 5-6 hours of sleep, and only a light sleep. by setting a bedtime routine, shutting down screens, doing breathing exercises, etc and waking up at the same time each morning really helped me to have better sleep. I also stopped taking sleep supplements, which I never really liked to do anyway but I felt I "needed" them. I no longer feel I need them to get a good nights sleep. I hope everyone sleeps well tonight and every night here on out.

Thanks Rhonda. I’m sorry you have to deal with all of that. My best to you.
