Improving Sleep with Music/sound

Hey all- I found this review article today: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8318210/

There are some interesting (but not surprising) findings around using calming music to reduce pre-sleep arousal.

The wildest part for me was reading about “targeted memory retrieval” or using sound to re-activate a feeling of calm that had been “learned” prior to sleep. Extrapolating here- this might help people learn to fall back asleep instead of ruminating during nighttime wake ups!

“Brain driving” as @Rob Sweetman calls it:)

Is this something you use Rob?

I have almost zero trouble falling asleep but I routinely wake up very early and can't go back to sleep. I recently added an eye mask to remove more light and I've had some limited success with it but will still find myself waking at 4 am and eventually giving up on sleep regardless of when I went to bed.
